Dr. Kang graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and attended Louisiana
State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed her residency at Baylor College
of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she was chief resident at Ben Taub Hospital. She also completed
a fellowship in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at The Center for Psychoanalytic Studies.
She previously served as staff psychiatrist and assistant professor
at the Michael DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
Most recently she worked at Scott and White Healthcare Clinic in Round Rock, Texas and served
as Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Kang resides in
Austin with her husband, daughter, and pug. She is active in the Austin triathlon community, having
completed 3 marathons, 1 Ultramarathon, and 2 Ironman triathlons.
